al amor

means

to love

Est. 2023

We built this studio from the ground up, aiming to create a space for designing and making things with love, that are meant to be loved.

This included sourcing and transporting many heavy pieces of equipment from all over the country.

Our name is an ode to founder Chiara’s grandmother, Gioia Tama, whose album of songs is titled Al Amor. She lived her life creating beautiful things out of love and with an ever-present affection for ephemera and the handmade.

Chiara comes from many generations of creatives, writers and printmakers. Opening this studio is a continuation of passion for analog crafts.

Santa Fe is our home for now, and we love it here.

CHIARA MEADOW

Chiara is the owner and founder of Al Amor Studio. After her studies at Bennington College in mixed media, photography, and creative writing, she moved back to her hometown of Santa Fe, New Mexico. In college she found a love for letterpress and handmade books, eventually expanding her interest into the area of custom boxes when returning to New Mexico. Ever since she was a child, she has taken a keen interest in the way that things are presented, whether it was a food product, or a piece of clothing received in the mail, she always paid attention to these details.

With her excellent sense of design and knack for organization, she birthed this studio in order to bridge the gap between handmade artistry and the world of marketing. Whether it is a cherished book, a portfolio of artwork, your wedding invitations, or a new product you are ready to share with the world, you can be sure that Chiara will take every step she can in order to elevate your project and create something you will love forever.
